Did you know that the concept of the Godhead (Trinity) is a Jewish one?
I'm recently doing a study on the the origins and make up of a Jewish synagogue (The majority of the modern congregations stay away from the Greek word and call themselves different names by the denomination.) and how some are modeled now because of it. One thing that I come across to explain why women and men are to be sep
arated from the men during service is this concept of the "Feminine" element of God called the "the Shechinah (meaning an indwelling or presence)."
I'm sure that most of you know what the "the Shechinah" is as far as our faith, but for those who don't, it is the Jewish explanation for one of God's essence which we, in Christ, translated into the Holy Spirit.
Depending on the Sect within Judaism, the concept of the Shechinah is different, but in cHasidic Judaism (which really is a bunch of different sects under the same name.) this concept of the Shechinah is being separate but united within the deity of God. Interesting stuff really. I highly suggest that you research it and do a study on it if the Lord wills you to do so.
But the ironic part of the belief is that they also believe that the Shechinah is its own character in itself and still a part of God and also divine! This could always lead to a good conversation with a Jew who strongly opposes Christianity because of the Trinity, by the way.
Anyways, how did I come up on this from just researching on the way that they meet together in their congregations, you might ask?
Simple. See although not all the different denominations within Judaism have the same model of worship, they all do separate the men from the women when they are all gathered. Historically, there was a time when only men were inside a synagogue and the women were outside with the other non-privileged uneducated Jews Jews (The curious Gentile, or "God fearing" Gentile being farther but still within earshot of the Word being read in the synagogue because Gentiles were considered to be unclean ritually for the Jew. The MAIN reason why Paul went to synagogues, which were houses committed to daily study and reading aloud the Word of God, to preach Christ crucified. See the Gentiles who believed in Jesus were already intrigued in the Jewish God and would gather to hear the Word of God being read within the synagogue).
I know. I was thinking the same thing. So why do women get separated from the men today in the modern congregations and what do they use as an excuse? And where do you get this trinity concept from, Mr. Idiotboy?
I got it from their explanation of WHY they separate the men from the women. Believe it or not, the concept of the Godhead is IN THEIR PASSOVER MEAL TOO, but that is another thread. (It has something to do with an empty seat and a feather.)
Ok. So, here is their explanation in a quick summery to this with a VERY WIDELY ACCEPTED JEWISH BELIEF. The origin of this idea originally came from Genesis 1:27 where God created man in His own Image. And they believed that God had a "feminine" part of His image in order for there to be TWO TYPES to be created from His image. With that being said, they came to believe that the Shechinah was that feminine image of God. Although some distinctions as to why this happened between the sects of Judaism (some sects say it was due to man's disobedience, some say do to infidelity from something.), but the majority do agree that the Shechihah had been separated from God and would be reunited with Him when the Messiah comes.
AND THAT IS WHY THEY SEPARATE THE MEN FROM THE WOMEN IN THE CONGREGATIONS NOW! BECAUSE OF A JEWISH TRINITARIAN VIEW!
They may not know it, BUT ITS TRUE!
Isn't amazing how our Great Father, the King of the Universe, shows Himself in just the littlest things to those that seek Him?
How glorious and true and wonderful are his riches to us when we come to realize them!
May the Mighty God, and Wonderful Father of our Lord Jesus, fill you with His Shechinah and constantly give you the thrilling sensation to join Him in blessing everyone for His namesake!
Well, I hope that this blesses you the same way that the Lord blessed me and magnified His worthiness to be praised, thanked, and honored when I came to know this through Him and the urge He gave me to look into it.
May the Lord continue to bless you all my brothers!
